Can Tho is one of the directly administered southern cities where you need to travel by boat from Ho Chi Minh City, taking about two hours, and from Phu Quoc it requires a ferry ride. If you have seen old Vietnamese films showing rice-field landscapes, this is probably Can Tho. In just an hour while passing through, you see wide rice fields. It is a productive area where about 50% of Vietnam’s rice and various fruits are produced.
